EqualXXY is a tool that helps people who live in the same house to make a unique and individual diagnosis of the time each one dedicates to housework and care. It works by pairing the phones of the two people and in the initial setup it is defined who, in the normal routine, does what. After this information is given, the app assigns each person these same tasks (which are the ones they normally already perform) and allows, for each task, to define the approximate time it takes to do it, thus taking the “photo ” of the time each person dedicates to unpaid (and often unnoticed) tasks.From here, the app assumes that the assigned tasks are performed (daily, weekly, monthly or annually, depending on the task) unless the user marks them as “Not done” or assigns them to someone else, from time to time.On the page dedicated to statistics, the distribution chart can then be viewed, showing, in a very visual way, how the time is distributed among the people who share the house, either in percentage or in absolute number of hours.Based on this information, little by little and taking into account the specific reality of the life of each household, it is possible to balance the distribution, redistributing some tasks (in the configuration made at the beginning and which can be changed at any time) until the amount of time devoted by each person is more equitable.Occasional tasks, which are not foreseen in the app, can always be added and their time defined, on the calendar page.On the other hand, and in case the user wants to, the app can send an email with the list of tasks for the day, so that getting used to the new routine is easier. In this scenario, EqualXXY will also help to relieve the mental burden of managing domestic and family tasks.EqualXXY aims to be a balancing tool that adjusts to the private life of each household.
